[edit] Information
HARDtalk celebrates its twentieth anniversary with a repeat of one of its classic interviews. Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been pardoned by President Trump after being convicted of criminal contempt. In 2010, Stephen Sackur travelled to Phoenix, Arizona to interview him at the open air prison he had constructed known as Tent City. Sheriff Joe had been conducting sweeps through largely Hispanic neighbourhoods to round up suspects for minor offences but also to check on their immigrations status; a tactic which critics said was 'racial profiling.' Did that campaign ride roughshod over the US constitution?
