It is 200 years before the birth of Christ and Rome is the new superpower of the ancient world. Rome believes itself to be invincible– but one man is destined to change that. He is Carthaginian general Hannibal Barka– a man bound by oath to avenge the wrongs inflicted on his home and, in pursuit of revenge, he will stop at nothing. Even as a child, he swore an oath to avenge the injustices once inflicted on Carthage. As an adult, he finally dares to do the seemingly impossible and crosses the border in 218 BC. with 50,000 soldiers and 37 war elephants the Alps. After three victorious battles in Italy, Hannibal only saw the Roman general Scipio II as an opponent who was a match for him... Hannibal explores the man behind the myth, revealing what drove the 26-year-old to mastermind one of the most audacious military moves in history.
