Kirsty Young introduces highlights of the day's events to mark the centenary of the Battle of Passchendaele. Commemorations took place at Tyne Cot Cemetery in Belgium. One hundred years on from the first day of this bloody and horrific First World War battle, the Prince of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, dignitaries and members of the Belgian and British militaries are joined by descendants of those who fought to remember and pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of all those who served and died fighting for the restoration of peace.
